When life on land gets hectic and busy, people often look to the waters of Marina del Rey for a bit of relaxation. Whether it’s taking in the beauty of the harbor or enjoying a cruise on the ocean, this escape from the Los Angeles city scene offers visitors a variety of activities to help them wash away their cares.

Since 2008, the city of Los Angeles has put on “Summer Night Lights,” a program built to discourage gang activity in L.A. parks after dark. For the members of the affected neighborhoods, the program brings a sense of positivity to their communities.
