On Friday, Cabal attended the senior music composition recitals and listened to compositions by Edward Ryan and Kirk Naylor, both fourth-year composition students, as well as Emad Borjian, a fifth-year ethnomusiciology student. Then, on Sunday, Erickson watched UCLA’s Spirit Squad auditions. She spoke with Mike Drell, a second-year art history and psychology student about the life of a cheerleader from a male’s shoes, followed by judge Ken Bencomo, who discusses the specifics of qualified cheerleading technique and showmanship.

Acapulco in Westwood Village closes its doors after 33 years
Acapulco Mexican Restaurant and Cantina quietly closed its doors in Westwood Village this week, after 33 years at the location.
The decision to permanently close the restaurant was based on the location’s recent business performance, said Rick Van Warner, a spokesman for Acapulco’s parent company Real Mex Restaurants.
The restaurant had been at its location on Glendon Avenue since 1979, Van Warner said.
