Two 405 Freeway ramps to reopen ahead of schedule
The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority plans to open tonight two ramps connecting Wilshire Boulevard to the 405 Freeway that were previously under construction ““ three weeks ahead of schedule.
The on-ramp from westbound Wilshire Boulevard to the northbound 405, and the off-ramp from the northbound 405 to the westbound Wilshire Boulevard, are both set to reopen, according a Metro statement released today.
UCLA Anderson School's self-supporting proposal suspended by UC committee
A UC Academic Senate committee voted to suspend their review of the Anderson School of Management’s proposal to become financially self-supporting, according to a memo sent to the school today.
The proposal, which was first brought forward by Anderson Dean Judy Olian about three years ago, would make the Masters of Business Administration program financially separate from state funds.
UCLA defeats Rice 49-24 in first game of season

Associated Press accidentally publishes dummy text of UCLA victory over Oregon
Waiting in anticipation for UCLA’s season opener?
Well, according to the Associated Press, the Bruins will be entering the game against the Rice Owls 1-0.
On Monday, the AP ran an erroneous report that UCLA had defeated Oregon Saturday, 21-20, on the back of a last-second touchdown by UCLA quarterback”¦Bob Jones.
The AP later issued a statement claiming the story was a test that was mistakenly published.
“The Associated Press has withdrawn its story slugged UCLA-Oregon.
