Cal Poly, of the Big West Conference, came out hot and pushed the tempo on the Bruins but the Bruins battled back near the end of the half to take a 34-26 lead into halftime. UCLA is looking to avoid a repeat of its embarrassing 66-57 loss to Montana, a game that was also played at home.
