Tale of two Andersons: Kyle commits, Jerime suspended two games
The long-term and immediate future of UCLA men’s basketball looks to be more stable after news came by Tuesday night regarding two players wearing Anderson on the back of their jerseys.
First, top prospect Kyle Anderson announced via his Twitter account that he will attend UCLA in 2012.
Anderson, a 6-foot-7-inch swingman from St. Anthony’s High School in New Jersey, is the Bruins’ third commit for the class of 2012 and is ranked as the No. 5 recruit in the country by ESPNU, No. 2 by Rivals.com and, and No. 4 by Scout.com. He joins top 100 recruits Jordan Adams and Dominic Artis as UCLA commits.

The non-conference season is behind the UCLA football team as it now prepares to start Pac-12 play Saturday against Oregon State in Corvalis, Ore.
Coach Rick Neuheisel met with reporters Monday afternoon as he does each Monday and opened by stating that his team isn’t as far along as he would like them to be as they went 1-2 in the non-conference play.
Neuheisel tried to pinpoint UCLA’s areas of concern, particularly on the defensive side of the football where the Bruins have given up have given up about 35 points per game and had serious issues making tackles upon initial contact.
Richard Brehaut will start Saturday against Oregon State
For the first time since…forever, Richard Brehaut will start for UCLA at quarterback with Kevin Prince healthy as announced by coach Rick Neuheisel on his weekly Sunday evening teleconference.
Neuheisel said Brehaut “deserves to play” after he attempted to save Saturday’s game against Texas.
