*UPDATED*: Daily Bruin wins ACP Pacemaker for nation’s best daily college newspaper

The Daily Bruin won a Pacemaker for the nation’s best college daily newspaper and seven other national awards today at the annual ACP/CMA college media convention.

Matt Stevens won first place for Reporter of the Year for his work on the 2010 Bridget O’Brien scholarship project ““Over and Back”:http://overandback.dailybruin.com/,” an investigation of basketball recruiting in Cameroon.

“Over and Back” also won first place for Multimedia News Feature for the online package created by Stevens, Millie Tran and Maya Sugarman.

Claire Byun and Sean Greene took third for Newspaper Page/Spread Design.
