UCLA professor and UC regents charged in staff member's death as a result of a lab fire

The Los Angeles County district attorney’s office filed felony charges Tuesday against the UC Board of Regents and UCLA chemistry Professor Patrick Harran in relation to the 2008 death of a UCLA staff research assistant from injuries received in a campus laboratory fire.

UCLA women's volleyball wins national championship against Illinois in four sets

UCLA women’s volleyball will bring home the school’s 108th national championship after beating Illinois in four sets on Saturday night.

It was a back and forth game between two very deep teams, but UCLA got the edge, winning the serve/receive battle and capitalizing on Illinois errors to win the championship.

The first set went to UCLA 25-23, while Illinois came from behind to win the second set 25-23.
