Last weekend, the No. 5 UCLA women’s soccer team faced its toughest challenge thus far in Cal and No. 1 Stanford.

College soccer fans have had Oct. 9 circled on their calendars for a while now; that is the date when rivals UCLA and Stanford face off this season, and for years the two programs have been the gold standard of women’s soccer programs in the Pac-12.

The grass on Drake Stadium has been well worn out by the UCLA women’s soccer team these past couple of weeks.

Ho hum. Another weekend, another set of 1-0 wins for the undefeated No. 2 UCLA women’s soccer team.
