In a 71-67 loss to Oregon State last Sunday, UCLA showed it lives and dies with the shooting hand of Jordan Adams. The sophomore guard missed each of his nine field goal tries against the Beavers and, as a result, the Bruins couldn’t seem to establish any sort of momentum until the closing minutes of the contest.

UCLA men’s basketball looks for consistency against USC
Just over a month ago in its game against USC, the UCLA men’s basketball team mistook the Pauley Pavilion floor for a track. UCLA men’s basketball stumbles against Oregon State, 71-67

UCLA looks to avoid misstep on road against Oregon State
EUGENE, Ore. f— Three days after an emotional, up-again, down-again win over Oregon, UCLA visits the home of one of the least talked about programs in the Pac-12. Oregon State sits No. 6 in the conference standings at 4-4 and needed overtime on Thursday night to scratch out a one-point victory over 10-11 USC. The Beavers, in a word, have been quiet. Maybe too quiet.
UCLA pulls off 70-68 victory on road against Oregon
Call it Jordan Adams jumping to the right place at the right time. Call it sound positioning in the paint. Call it a fortuitous held ball that resuscitated UCLA after a disastrous closing stretch.
