UCLA capitalized on errors by LSU to gain the upper hand in its first game of the College World Series.

UCLA baseball defeated LSU 2-1 in its first game at the College World Series, neutralizing LSU’s high-powered offensive attack.

This year’s College World Series features four teams with 50 or more wins on the season and three of the top four national seeds. UCLA baseball does not carry with it any of those accolades, but hopes experience and defensive skill will carry them to first national title in program history.
