The average college student probably isn’t the best chef in the world. But with one of the biggest feasts of the year a couple days away, it doesn’t hurt to make friends with your kitchen. Prepping a full-blown turkey is pretty intimidating. But there are other Thanksgiving favorites that are simple enough to make. Last night reporter Laura Moeini got a Thanksgiving cooking lesson from Daily Bruin A&E Editor Maryia Krivoruchko, who writes a weekly column called “Fire in the Kitchen.” The quick and easy dish of the night? Cranberry sauce.

Students blend at newly established Turkish Student Association's game night

November 16, 2010 – Many consider Turkish culture to be where East meets West and where history coexists with the modern world. In Turkey, European and Middle Eastern styles and ideas mingle, but for whatever reason, people don’t seem to know very much about it.
