Screening just in time for you to view and critique before the big show on March 7, Melnitz Movies is showing the 10 Oscar-nominated Animated and Live Action Short Films tonight. The Daily Bruin’s Ava Bolich spoke with three of the filmmakers regarding their work. Here are the synopses of the 10 films:

Some participants in the 2010 Dance Marathon at UCLA wear costumes for the event, which raises funds and awareness for the global pediatric AIDS fight. During the 26 hour event, the theme changes every three hours, some dancers don a new costume in keeping with the new theme.
