UCLA softball hits five home runs in 14-3 victory over Michigan State at home

After a shaky defensive inning in the top of the first, it appeared as if UCLA softball had the response they needed when freshman third baseman Stephany LaRosa belted one out of the park only to be denied when the ball stayed inches outside the right field foul pole.

Softball gets reality check at Cathedral City Classic, drops four out of five matches

At some point in the season, most teams will eventually receive a reality check. A game or moment that reveals something about the team that it had not known until it happened.

In dominant form to open the season, 10 wins in 10 games, the UCLA softball team came away with a sobering reality check for the team in the Cathedral City Classic.
