A new class of film students makes the cut, begins studies at UCLA’s presitigious, highly selective program

It took Court Soto four years, four applications and two appeals to be accepted into UCLA’s School of Theater, Film and Television as an undergraduate film student.

Soto was rejected the first time in 2007, when he was trying to transfer from Santa Monica College.

Fashion’s Night Out hits Los Angeles with parties, concerts and shopping events

Los Angeles will be inundated with consumers and window shoppers alike as Fashion’s Night Out kicks off tomorrow.

The event was created in 2009 by American “Vogue” editor in chief Anna Wintour and the Council of the Fashion Designers of America as a sort of economic stimulus for the fashion industry, where stores and shopping centers alike around the world set up events to celebrate the occasion.
