*UPDATED:* Defense struggles to hold up against Longhorns offense

PASADENA “”mdash; Kevin Prince walked off the Rose Bowl field to a chorus of boos from UCLA fans late in the first quarter of UCLA’s 49-20 loss to Texas on Saturday.

For the first time in a long time, the redshirt junior was leaving the field on his own power without the aid of the training staff.

This week, the guys talk about an underwhelming 27-17 win over San Jose State and preview the team’s upcoming matchup with Texas at the Rose Bowl.

UCLA will be looking for its second win against Texas in as many years as they were able to dispose of the Longhorns last year in Austin, 34-12.

Quarterback competition still open, Brehaut gets first-team snaps

The competition to be UCLA’s starting quarterback Saturday against Texas is still wide open, according to coach Rick Neuheisel.

Neuheisel maintains that both Kevin Prince and Richard Brehaut will be “ready” but doesn’t want to say too much and doesn’t feel the need to name a starter before the game.
