UCLA Anderson School's self-supporting proposal suspended by UC committee

A UC Academic Senate committee voted to suspend their review of the Anderson School of Management’s proposal to become financially self-supporting, according to a memo sent to the school today.

The proposal, which was first brought forward by Anderson Dean Judy Olian about three years ago, would make the Masters of Business Administration program financially separate from state funds.

Well, according to the Associated Press, the Bruins will be entering the game against the Rice Owls 1-0.

On Monday, the AP ran an erroneous report that UCLA had defeated Oregon Saturday, 21-20, on the back of a last-second touchdown by UCLA quarterback”¦Bob Jones.

The AP later issued a statement claiming the story was a test that was mistakenly published.

Obama emphasizes higher education at Ohio rally, criticizes Romney's plans

Addressing a crowd of more than 3,000 people ““ including university students ““ President Barack Obama was on the campaign trail at Capital University in the battleground state of Ohio today to advocate his higher education plans and highlight contrasts between him and likely Republican nominee Mitt Romney.

During his speech, Obama criticized Romney for his proposed policies of decreased education spending and changes to student loan programs.
