CARY, N.C. — The UCLA women’s soccer team netted the program’s first national championship and the 110th in UCLA history with a 1–0 victory over Florida State. After 96 scoreless minutes, sophomore midfielder Kodi Lavrusky slotted in a pass from junior defender Megan Oyster to give UCLA the victory and get the celebration started.

The UCLA women’s soccer team clinched the Pac-12 championship with a 2-0 win over Oregon Sunday. Two second-half goals from sophomore forwards Taylor Smith and Kodie Lavrusky were enough to secure the team’s first conference championship since 2008 in head coach Amanda Cromwell’s first season.
