A 26 Hour Marathon
On Feb. 13-14, more than 800 students danced for 26 hours in Dance Marathon, which benefits the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, Project Kindle and One Heartland.
Dance Marathon Costumes
Some participants in the 2010 Dance Marathon at UCLA wear costumes for the event, which raises funds and awareness for the global pediatric AIDS fight. During the 26 hour event, the theme changes every three hours, some dancers don a new costume in keeping with the new theme.

Museums in Peru strengthen cultural identity
PUNO, PERU ””mdash; An ancient ceramic vessel, fully intact, sits within arm’s reach. Its glazed patterns are the few remnants of a largely undocumented culture. But the trained eye may experience insight beyond the aesthetic appeal.
Idealized Peru veils country’s problems
There came a point when I abandoned the remnants of cultural sensitivity and embraced the crass objectification of culture. My perception of Peru developed while in my host environment. Through multiple exposures with locals and non-locals I saw something more common than unique ““ the Peruvians seem to see artifacts as financial opportunity whereas Western researchers value its cultural value.
