LAHAINA – UCLA had its moments in the first half, but for the most part the Bruins were overwhelmed at both ends of the floor by Kansas in a semifinal game at the EA Sports Maui Invitational. The Jayhawks lead 43-26 at halftime.

University of California President Mark Yudof has appointed two analytical groups to investigate conflicts between university police and protestors, according to a statement from the UC Office of the President.

I feel compelled to address the massive waste of time that many of my fellow Bruins so enthusiastically engage in these days. I am referring to the protests that call for a stop to the fee hikes and demand the reintegration of specific university programs, services and even majors.
