UCLA Rally Committee protects Bruin statue from USC threats

Every year, the Bruin statue in Bruin Plaza goes into hibernation during the week leading up to the big football game against cross-town rivals USC. The UCLA Rally Committee sends volunteers to camp out in front of its cage throughout the night and to watch out for possible attempts from the Trojans of vandalizing the statue.

CAC email urges students to voice concerns at UC Board of Regents meeting at UCLA

A campus-wide email sent Sunday night by the Undergraduate Students Association Council Cultural Affairs Commission urged students to protest at the UC Board of Regents meeting Monday morning at the James West Alumni Center.

The meeting was re-scheduled as a teleconference after the regents received warnings of violent protests from university police at its usual location at UC San Francisco.
