The Hiking Club seeks adventure
The Hiking Club at UCLA travels to locations both known and unknown in search of adventure. On May 11, the Hiking Club traveled to see poppy flowers in Antelope Valley and swam in the rivers of Fish Canyon.

“It’s basically my life. Everything that I own and have came out of here. And it’s been beautiful,” said Stan Berman, the owner of Stan’s Donuts. During the store’s 50-year presence in Westwood Village, it has been a staple of the Westwood and UCLA experience, providing countless contributions to the community it calls home.
One man, one wheel
“I didn’t expect it to take over my life, but gradually it did.” UCLA alumnus and acrobat Spencer Hochberg rides half a bike but goes twice as far. Working as a mechanical engineer, Spencer has found a way to balance work with his passion for acrobatics and unicycling.
