The UCLA women’s tennis team looked sharp in its last chance to prepare for conference play.

Feeling confident following its two wins last week, the No. 8 UCLA women’s tennis team (7-2) is now turning its attention to its next opponent, No. 55 Pepperdine (4-4), a team it already beat 5-2 this year.

All of UCLA’s singles players won their first set as the No. 8 women’s tennis team (7-2) beat the University of Hawai’i convincingly on Friday.

Even though they returned from Wisconsin with their first two losses of the season, the UCLA women’s tennis team won themselves some experience that will no doubt prove significant later on this year.

This week, the No. 3 UCLA women’s tennis team (4-0) will be playing yet another set of back-to-back matches, giving them a chance to prepare for upcoming tournaments.

The No. 3 UCLA women’s tennis team (1-0) will once again be competing in a different format this weekend, as they host and participate in the qualifying rounds for the ITA National Team Indoors.

After losing four seniors from their 2008 national championship team, UCLA women’s tennis has had a hard time finding doubles teams to replace its former winning combinations.
