First-years, don’t be fooled. You might think you still have an entire year to pick a major, but the harsh reality is you don’t. Switching majors is painful at best and impossible at worst, so choose carefully and immediately.

Ashe Center fails to efficiently provide for students
As I write this, I have a fever of over 100 degrees, a hacking cough, congestion and aches in every part of my body. I’ve been popping Motrin and NyQuil pills, but in vain. Since this is the third day I’ve had a fever, I should probably go see a doctor.
UCLA must make big changes to be truly green
In the midst of an economic crisis that has threatened to take away financial aid from students, led to $2 million in losses for ASUCLA and tightened budgets across departments, somehow UCLA housing still manages to buy brand new LCD screens for our dining halls, encase our paper napkins in plastic, and (as a friend of mine put it) let the sprinklers “water the pavement” on a daily basis.
