Gov. Schwarzenegger vetoed the California Dream Act this weekend ““ which would have made it possible for certain undocumented students to receive financial aid.

Between Bruin OnLine, MyUCLA, Facebook, online banking and online shopping, students leave the fate of their identity, personal information and finances in the hands of a password.

The Student Alumni Association is a student-run organization that works alongside the UCLA Alumni Association to provide students with activities throughout the school year such as Blue and Gold Week and Spring Sing.

Many Bruins will be leaving their cars in the garage as they buckle on their helmets and ride to campus as a part of Bike to Campus Week. This event, along with Bruin Democrats’ Green Week, is a measures the UCLA community is taking this week to promote the education of environmental issues on campus.

As the group of cancer survivors participating in Relay For Life completed the first lap around Drake Stadium on Saturday afternoon, friends and family members placed medals around their necks. Other participants stood on the inside track and cheered before joining the survivors in the 24-hour walk against cancer.

This weekend, 35 cancer survivors will join nearly 1,000 UCLA students and community members for a 24-hour relay to raise money for the disease.
