On Wednesday nine of UCLA’s a cappella groups will come together for concert to celebrate the season; it’s called “The Holidays: A Cappella-Rama” and it’ll take place at 7 p.m. at the Northwest Campus Auditorium on the Hill. But we got a little impatient, so members of Awaken A Cappella joined us in the studio.

November 21, 2010 – “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1″ premiered Friday at the Regency Theatre in Westwood. Students have followed Harry, Ron and Hermione on the big screen since the beginning of the saga, and for muggles, this might be the closest they can get to the wizarding world. [1:34]
Families reunited with their Bruins last Friday for the beginning of UCLA’s Parents’ Weekend. The first night, campus festivities came to a close with a large Bruin Barbeque in Dickson Plaza, where UCLA students joined their families for food, live music and dancing.

October 14, 2010 – New theater students’ first college course starts outside the classroom with Master Jonathan Wang. A long-time martial arts competitor and world champion in Tai Chi, Wang teaches a required course called Introduction to Performance. [3:18]
September 20, 2010 – For the past several months, UCLA faculty and staff have been going to the John Wooden Center for the Bruin Health Improvement Program. BHIP is designed to help faculty and staff improve overall health. The program is phasing out its first year, teaching participants to do the exercises on their own as the program’s session gradually comes to an end. [3:05]
