ONTARIO — The UCLA men’s basketball team hasn’t gotten off to the strongest start against Division II Cal State San Bernardino, but still has a 39-31 halftime lead.
The Bruins and Coyotes traded holding the lead early, but UCLA pulled away with about five minutes to play. An alley-oop from sophomore guard Tyler Lamb to redshirt sophomore forward David Wear provided one first-half highlight and helped UCLA build its halftime lead.
Sophomore center Joshua Smith has 12 points, a team-high for the Bruins.
