UCLA coach Ben Howland meets with the media in anticipation of his team’s quarterfinal matchup in the Pac-10 Tournament Thursday at 6:10 at Staples Center.
The Bruins will take on the winner of Wednesday’s play-in game between No. 7 seed Oregon and No. 10 seed Arizona State.
Howland had an injury update on junior guard Malcolm Lee and said that junior guard Jerime Anderson and freshman guard Tyler Lamb were both sick. All are expected to play Thursday.
Howland even referenced the Bruins’ NCAA tournament seeding prospects by acknowledging that the experts have them slotted anywhere from a No. 7 seed to a No. 9 seed in projected fields. Fear not, for those who thought Howland was breaking his business-like stand on “taking it one game at a time,” he said he hadn’t actually seen the projections himself.
