Winds of change for UCLA?

UCLA has descended ““ ascended? North is up, right? ““ on the University of Washington for a suddenly critical Pac-10 clash. Seattle is colder than the Oregon State offense right now, so expect the weather to be a significant factor in this one.

The big news leading up to this one was that the Huskies would indeed have the services of their star quarterback Jake Locker, whose status was uncertain after he suffered a rib injury. UCLA handled Locker well a year ago, but he’s a threat to do something dangerous every time he touches the ball.

For the second time this season, UCLA will be playing on Thursday night before a national television audience on ESPN, and the Bruins will be looking to reverse recent fortune in a number of areas. They were blasted by Oregon on a Thursday night earlier this season, and the last time UCLA played on ESPN in Seattle, the Bruin basketball team lost 97-68 to the Huskies in February.
