UCLA-Arizona, Pre-game Thoughts

You could say this is a big game for both teams, just because they both need something to forget about last weekend. UCLA lost, badly (you should know the score by now) at BYU. Arizona lost to New Mexico.

It’s a big one for the coaches, as well. Mike Stoops will probably lose his job if the Wildcats do not win today. Rick Neuheisel wants to show that his ‘relentlessly positive’ mantra is more than just talk. It will mean a lot of UCLA can bounce back today and beat a Pac-10 team.

All week, UCLA tried to find some sort of success with its running game. Khalil Bell is out for today’s game. So the Bruins will really need some push from their offensive line to spring Chane Moline and Derrick Coleman.

Wide receiver Nelson Rosario missed the BYU game with a leg injury but he is dressed and looks ready to play.

Look for Arizona tight end Rob Gronkowski today. Gronkowski is one of the best tight ends in the country, but he hasn’t played yet this season. It should be interesting to see is middle linebacker Steve Sloan matches up with Gronkowski. Sloan’s never started a game before.
