“I definitely thought he was this teeny-bopper, annoying guy for awhile. Then I kind of liked a couple of songs as a joke, and my friends dragged me to the movie and it really kind of cements you as a fan. It sounds crazy but it does. It makes him really human, and you appreciate his struggle. I feel like a lot of people knock him because he’s young and going through puberty, but I think he’s really talented and has a good voice and his songs are really catchy. I think I am a fan after watching the movie.”

“I don’t think I’d see his movie. No I wouldn’t. A really big no, actually. I think some of his songs are catchy, but they’re kind of corny. The beat, rhythm and the music is good. He shouldn’t be the one singing. I wish they could take the melody and the song and give it to someone else, and I would probably like it a lot more. I don’t like him, but I like the songs.”

“He’s the kind of person you wouldn’t mind not respecting. He’s a talented kid … He’s just popular for different reasons which aren’t his talent. He’s not the worst, but at the same time he’s not the best. I would definitely see his movie if it was free.”

“I would never see his movie. If I wanted to watch a motivational film, there are many others. If he has any talent, the only talent is getting famous for no reason. His music is annoying and very childish. I don’t hate him as a person, but I don’t understand why he’s famous. He’s famous because there’s 12-year-old kids out there that like him.”
