Petty Theft A purse with valuables worth $270
was stolen from a desk at 300 Medical Plaza on Feb. 13.
A bike worth $300 was stolen from the Dental Breezeway on
Tiverton Avenue on Feb. 13. A wallet with $100 worth of valuables
was stolen from the Wooden Center basketball courts on Feb. 9.
Grand Theft A laptop and palm pilot worth
$4,400 were stolen from the Center for Health Sciences between Feb.
16 and Feb. 17. A $1,038 laptop was also stolen from the CHS
between Feb. 13 and Feb. 17, and another laptop and two LCD
projectors with a total value of $7,780 were stolen from the CHS
between Feb. 13 and Feb. 17. A fourth laptop and a USB hub worth
$1,520 were also stolen from CHS between Feb. 13 and Feb. 17. A
fifth laptop and accessories worth $4,000 were stolen from a room
in CHS between Feb. 12 and Feb. 17.
A $700 cell phone was stolen from a purse at 10320 Strathmore
Drive between Feb. 14 and Feb. 15.
A $2,000 laptop was stolen from 459 Gayley Avenue between Feb.
13 and Feb. 15.
A computer was stolen from a room in Kinross Hall between Feb.
13 and Feb. 14.
Someone with a blue revolver stole $2,400 cash from 1500
Westwood Avenue on Feb. 13.
Two hubcaps worth $500 were removed from a vehicle in Lot 9 on
Feb. 12.
Tools and a heating unit worth $509 were stolen from a trailer
near Easton Field between Feb. 10 and Feb. 12.
Miscellaneous Someone tried to use a
counterfeit $10 bill at the cafeteria in the Center for Health
Sciences on Feb. 17.
While in Las Vegas on Feb. 17, someone wrote a check for $2,200
in someone else’s name.
Roommates on Veteran Avenue got into a fight on Feb. 14 and one
punched the other in the face.
Someone was hit and kicked at Maloney’s on Feb. 14. The
assailant fled the scene.
After trying to use bad checks in Ackerman Union, someone was
arrested and held on $20,000 bail on Feb. 11.
