Should Shapiro go to Harvard?
Congratulations to the Daily Bruin on exposing Ben
Shapiro’s practices (“Book misconstrues facts,”
News, May 11).
I am surprised to hear Shapiro is planning to attend Harvard Law
School. On June 20, 2002, he wrote: “When the United States
builds a missile defense shield it should leave a small hole right
above Harvard University — and Yale, Stanford, Columbia and Brown.
Each of these institutions bans the U.S. Reserve Officer Training
Corps from conducting classes on its campus. Until they let ROTC
back on campus, let them defend themselves.”
It is admirable to see Shapiro supports the ROTC program. But
why would he want to attend a college planning on being left
defenseless to missile attacks?
