One Dollar investment
Cameron Dollar, a four-year UCLA letter winner from 1994-97, has
been hired as an assistant coach at the University of Washington
under former UCLA assistant coach Lorenzo Romar.
Dollar, who played under Romar at UCLA, has been an assistant
under Romar at Saint Louis University since 1999.
When Romar was hired to replace Bob Bender at Washington last
week, one of his first moves was to hire Dollar.
“Cameron is a wonderful fit for our staff,” Romar
said in a statement. “He is an outstanding individual and a
hard worker. After having played and coached from coast to coast,
his basketball network is extremely extensive for a young
coach.”
Dollar was a former assistant at UC Irvine in 1997, and was head
coach of Southern California College in 1998.
He played an important role in leading the Bruins to a national
championship in 1995.
