Simply put, UCLA has become synonymous with championships. Time and time again, the athletics program has made its presence felt regardless of the venue, consistently vying for a national title. Of course, with that tradition of team success has emerged the legacies of various coaches and players, whether it be baseball star Jackie Robinson, basketball wizard John Wooden or softball legend Lisa Fernandez. Take that rich history of excellence into account, and it’s easy to see why UCLA boasts the most NCAA titles of any school in the country. (Note: As of press time, the baseball team was still competing at the College World Series in Omaha, Neb.)
