The Undergraduate Students Association Council is the official student government representing the undergraduate student body at UCLA. Agenda
- The council unanimously appointed Aaron Boudaie, a first-year political science student, onto the Judicial Board.
- The council unanimously allocated $5,200 from the Contingency Programming Fund to 30 student groups.
- The council unanimously approved the five-day election calendar for the upcoming election.
Officers’ reports
- President Heather Rosen said she will be holding a workshop with Daily Bruin reporters to share knowledge about USAC.
- Rosen added she met with Rhea Turteltaub, vice chancellor of external affairs, to discuss campus climate and ways to increase communication between student groups.
- Rosen said she presented to the Associated Students UCLA Services Committee about securing a location for the Student Food Co-op. Rosen added the presentation went well and ASUCLA officials were receptive.
- External Vice President Zach Helder said he attended the UCSA conference last week in Santa Barbara. Helder added he is preparing for his trip to Washington, D.C., in two weeks.
- Academic Affairs Commissioner Trent Kajikawa said he met with UCLA registrar Frank Wada on Feb. 8. Kajikawa added there will be 29 Undergraduate Student Initiated Education student-led classes offered in the spring.
- Kajikawa said he will participate in a web conference with academic affairs commissioners from other UC campuses next week.
