Two men, including one UCLA student, were arrested in connection to the suspected homicide of a UCLA student on Sept. 21.

Alberto Medina and Eric Marquez, both 22, were arrested this weekend after investigators examined forensic evidence and heard witness statements that linked the two to Andrea DelVesco’s death, according to an LAPD press release. Marquez is a fifth-year biology student, according to a UCLA statement. Medina is not affiliated with UCLA.

Medina and Marquez were booked on charges of murder. Medina was arrested in his Fresno residence Saturday and is being held without bail. Marquez was arrested Sunday near his apartment on Strathmore Drive. His bail is set at $1 million. Both are being held in the Van Nuys Police Station jail.

DelVesco was found dead last Monday after her Roebling Avenue apartment was set on fire. Police have investigated the incident as homicide and arson. She was a fourth-year Spanish and psychology student.
