The Daily Bruin won 30 awards from the California College Media Association’s annual contest Saturday, including the award for Best Daily Newspaper for the second year in a row.
The Bruin took home 11 first-place awards and 17 second- and third-place awards, in addition to honorable mentions.
The Bruin won first place for Best Website, Best Overall Newspaper Design and Best Magazine in addition to Best Daily. The Bruin earned a number of awards for its coverage of the UCLA flood in July, rebuilding in the Philippines after Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda and issues surrounding sexual assault on campus.
