This Tuesday, the UCLA women’s volleyball team announced it will play four of its ten regular season home matches at Pepperdine University’s Firestone Fieldhouse. These matches include Arizona (Sept. 26), Utah (Oct. 10), Colorado (Oct. 12) and Washington (Oct. 31).
The team was forced to temporarily move its home court to Malibu after a water main break on Sunset Boulevard July 29. The resulting flood caused damage to both Pauley Pavilion and the John Wooden Center, UCLA’s two home courts.
Because the Bruins will now be sharing a home court with the Pepperdine Waves, start times for the Arizona, Utah, and Washington matches have all been switched to 8 p.m., while the start time for the Colorado match stays at 11 a.m.
The hosting location for the Oregon home match (Oct. 15) and Oregon State home match (Oct. 17) have yet to be decided, but it has been determined that the Bruins will be able to host their last four home matches of the season in both Pauley Pavilion and the John Wooden Center. This includes the USC contest, which is being hosted in Pauley on Nov. 28.
