UCLA football adds three-star defensive tackle to 2015 recruiting class

As UCLA football’s 2014 season rapidly approaches, the team got more news about its 2015 squad, as three-star defensive tackle recruit Bryce English announced his commitment to UCLA Monday.

English, a 5-foot-11-inch, 318 pound tackle, was previously a Texas commit before withdrawing his commitment in April. From DeSoto High School in DeSoto, Texas, English is another in a slew of recruits the Bruins have drawn from the Lone Star State as they continue to build their recruiting presence there, with sophomore offensive tackle Caleb Benenoch, freshman linebacker Zach Whitley and redshirt freshman wide receiver Eldridge Massington, among others, all committing to UCLA from Texas in recent years.

English’s commitment brings UCLA’s 2015 recruiting class up to 11 players, headlined by five-star quarterback Josh Rosen and four-star tight end Alize Jones. English is the Bruins’ sole defensive line recruit so far.
