Petty theft
A $60 jacket and a $149 cellular phone were stolen from the
fourth floor locker room of Santa Monica Hospital Thursday. There
was no sign of forced entry.
A rear license plate was stolen from a red 1987 Ford Escort
parked on the 600 block of Levering Avenue on Wednesday.
Grand theft
Someone smashed the rear passenger side window of a green 1997
Ford Escort parked on the 600 block of Veteran Avenue between 1 and
2:45 a.m. Sunday and removed a stereo and laptop computer. The
suspect took off with $1,600 in electronic equipment.
Police received a report Friday that someone had opened a credit
card account under another person’s name without her permission and
charged $2,420 to that card.
A $3,300 laptop computer was stolen from a room in Covel Commons
between 3:40 and 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
Vandalism
Someone pushed a motorcycle over while it was parked in Lot 6
between March 22 and 30.
Someone keyed a black 1997 Toyota Corolla parked on the 400
block of Landfair Avenue between March 25 and 29.
Miscellaneous
A man reportedly touched several women inappropriately and threw
water at them near Pauley Pavilion at 4:10 p.m. Friday.
A man was warned and advised against battery after he reportedly
threw gum at another person on Thursday at the Center for Health
Sciences.
Police received a report Wednesday that someone had used a
forged prescription at the Student Health Store and at two
off-campus locations last month.
Los Angeles Police Department
An unknown number of suspects armed with guns held up a building
on the 1700 block of Westwood Boulevard around 9:20 p.m. on
Saturday. The suspects took off northbound through an alleyway. The
amount of loss is unknown.
Several juveniles were reported beating up another kid in the
alley of a grocery store near Ohio Avenue and Westwood Boulevard at
3:25 p.m. on Wednesday.
