9021Pho to open location in Westwood

French-Vietnamese chain restaurant 9021Pho recently signed a deal to open its sixth location in Westwood later this year.

The Los Angeles-based eatery will open in about six months in a Gayley Avenue storefront previously occupied by Native Foods Ca, said David Dwyer, the director of operations for 9021Pho.

We just feel like Westwood holds our demographic: young people who are educated, travel and are willing to try different and ethnic foods,” Dwyer said. “We will get a mix of the college student and the business employee in the local area.”

The 9021Pho menu offers entrees such as pho chicken curry, banh mi sandwiches and basil shrimp.

The restaurant already has five other locations in the greater Los Angeles area, Dwyer said.

Steve Sann, the chair of the Westwood Community Council, said he thinks the addition of 9021Pho will provide Westwood residents with a diverse dining option that was not previously represented in the Village.
