An open forum on gender-based violence, mental health and other topics will take place on campus Wednesday night.
The forum comes after a recent shooting near University of California, Santa Barbara raised concerns about campus climate and safety, especially for women.
The forum, hosted by the Undergraduate Students Association Council Student Wellness Commission and moderated by Savannah Badalich, the Student Wellness commissioner, will include members of UCLA Counseling and Psychological Services and the UCLA Department of Gender Studies, as well as a columnist from the Daily Bruin.
The forum will also address topics such as racism, sensationalism in the media and misogyny. Anyone can submit questions for the forum by emailing the Student Wellness Commission at uclaswc@gmail.com.
