On Tuesday night, social activist Bryonn Bain performed “Lyrics From Lockdown,” a spoken word performance that aimed to educate people about mass incarceration and racial profiling. The piece combined spoken word with various musical styles, including hip-hop, rhythm and blues, classical music, and calypso, performed by a live band.
