Some graduating students experienced technical difficulties purchasing commencement tickets Tuesday afternoon, soon after the tickets went on sale.
Students who tried to buy their tickets through the MyUCLA website were not able to complete their purchases because of heavy traffic on the server, said a student representative from MyUCLA.
MyUCLA will not be providing a systemic solution to the problem, but will instead wait for the website congestion to clear.
The MyUCLA site glitch sparked concerned students to flood MyUCLA and the Central Ticketing Office with calls Tuesday afternoon.
“We’re getting three calls every five minutes,” the student representative said.
At press time, the student representative said that site traffic had mostly cleared.
