Crime Watch

Petty theft Five cell phones, two purses, one
backpack and seven parking permits were stolen during this period,
totaling a loss of $1,289. Someone stole the rear license plate of
a green 1997 Dodge Neon parked on the 10900 block of Roebling
Avenue between 12:30 and 11 a.m. Thursday. Someone stole a 21-speed
yellow Trek mountain bike from the bicycle racks on Tiverton
Avenue, near the School of Dentistry, between 9:50 a.m. and 4:50
p.m on Wednesday. The bike was valued at $350. Someone stole $160
worth of textbooks from the third floor of Rolfe Hall between 4 and
5 p.m. Sept. 10.

Grand theft A black Trek mountain bike was
stolen from the bike locks outside the Wooden Center between 12:30
and 2:30 p.m. Thursday. Someone stole a $400 cell phone off a table
at the Bombshelter around 11:50 a.m Oct. 16. That same day, someone
stole a wallet, a loss of $620, from a backpack left unattended at
the Young Hall Chemistry Library around noon. Also that day,
someone stole a backpack and bag, worth a total $420, from tables
on the third floor of the Young Research Library. On Oct. 15,
someone lifted dental equipment from the third floor reception area
of the School of Dentistry. A UPS package was removed from the
Center for Health Sciences on Oct. 9.

Grand theft auto A blue 1990 Toyota Camry was
removed from the 600 block of Veteran Avenue between 9 p.m. Friday
and 6:45 a.m. Saturday. Someone stole a white 2001 Honda moped from
the Kinsey Hall parking lot between 12:30 and 5:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Also on Wednesday, a white 1986 Honda was removed from the 700
block of Levering Avenue between midnight and 8:30 a.m. Between
8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. that same day, a white 1993 GMC Suburban
was removed from the 300 block of De Neve Drive.

Miscellaneous Police received four reports of
white powdery substances last week. In none of the cases did the
substance turn out to be anthrax. A man “in the bushes”
on the 100 block of Veteran Avenue indecently exposed himself at
9:15 a.m. Oct. 15.
