2014 UCLA football schedule released

The Pac-12 revealed its complete 2014 football schedule Wednesday, meaning UCLA’s schedule for next season is complete.

The Bruins will open up in Charlottesville, Va. on Aug. 30 against Virginia, a team that finished 2-10 last season. They round out their non-conference schedule with a home game against Memphis on Sept. 6 and a somewhat-neutral site game against Texas at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Sept. 13.

Key Pac-12 games for UCLA include a Sept. 25 road test at reigning Pac-12 South champion Arizona State on a Thursday night, an Oct. 11 home game against Oregon, which still has quarterback Marcus Mariota and a Friday night home game against reigning Pac-12 champion Stanford on Nov. 28. For the second time in the last three years, USC (Nov. 22) will not be UCLA’s final home game of the season. In 2014, as in 2012, the Bruins will play the Cardinal in their final home game of the regular season.

UCLA does benefit from better bye-week placement this season, including off days on Sept. 20 (the Saturday before Pac-12 play begins) as well as Nov. 15, exactly one week before the USC game.
