Police arrested White after they were called to an apartment on Glenrock Avenue at about 3 a.m.

White, 20, has been suspended from the UCLA football team indefinitely while the legal and student discipline processes continue, UCLA football coach Jim Mora said in the statement.

“We are aware of the situation involving Torian White, and we take these accusations very seriously,” Mora said.

Further investigations are needed before the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office decides whether or not to file charges against White, said District Attorney spokeswoman Jane Robison.

White, a redshirt sophomore left tackle, has not played since he injured his right leg during a game at Utah on Oct. 3. He has attended UCLA since fall 2011.
