Two laptop computers were stolen from an apartment in Westwood on Thursday, according to a university police report.
The thief entered the apartment on Ophir Drive and Glenrock Avenue through an unlocked door at 10:20 p.m. and stole two MacBook Pro computers, according to the report.
The owner of the laptops told police that a man was walking up and down the apartment complex and into a vacant apartment unit around the same time, according to the report.
He was described as Hispanic, about 20 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall of medium build. He was wearing a red sweater, dark jeans and a backpack, according to the report.
The case is still under investigation.
UCPD recommends that students lock doors and windows and do not invite strangers into their apartments or dorms.
