UCLA men’s basketball 2013-2014 season schedule was announced today, featuring several matchups against marquee opponents.
On Thursday, December 19, UCLA will head to Madison Square Garden in New York City to square off against Duke, who finished last season ranked No. 5 in the USA Today Coaches Poll. The game, part of the CARQUEST Auto Parts Classic, pits two of basketball’s most storied programs against each other, as the two teams have a combined 15 national championships. The Blue Devils will also feature incoming freshman forward Jabari Parker, whom ESPN ranks as the No. 2 recruit in the nation.
Other notable non-conference games include Missouri (Dec. 7), Alabama (Dec 28) and Weber State (Dec. 22).
After winning the Pac-12 regular season title this past season, UCLA will open Pac-12 play next year against USC in Pauley Pavilion on January 4. The Bruins will also face the Arizona Wildcats, who finished second in the Pac-12 during the regular season, just once this season, after facing them three times last season.
