April 16, 2012 – This week on Long Story Short, Taylor speaks with Dr. Stella Chow, the UCLA psychologist from UCLA Counseling and Psychological Service) about a workshop she is hosting at the Dashew Center Thursday on the cross-cultural differences in dating. Then, Christyana interviews Molly Howland, a third-year neuroscience student and president of Supporting Peers in Laidback Listening (S.P.I.L.L). It is an anonymous online peer-to-peer system where students can confidentially “spill” their problems and receive feedback and comfort from trained supporters. Lastly, Taylor and Christyana share a few laughs with third-year psychology student Paige Weldon and fourth-year English student Lewis Sequeira as they share their lives as comedians and discuss UCLA’s Stand-Up Comedy Club’s upcoming event, “Bruin Up Laughs,” which will take place Tuesday at the Kerckhoff Coffee House.
